Welcome to Each 1 Teach 1, Inc.

Each 1 Teach 1, Inc., is a BIPOC, woman-led nonprofit based in Frederick, Maryland. Through trauma-informed youth programming that addresses the mental, social, and physical impacts on youth development, we provide children and their families with social-emotional learning skills using yoga, meditation, and various mindful activities. We utilize the evidence-based CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning) framework, grounded in research and principles of child and adolescent development. These scientifically evaluated programs produce positive outcomes, supporting youth growth socially, emotionally, and physically. Founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, E1T1 began as an after-school and summer program serving youth in the Lucas Village community. Since then, we have expanded to provide in-school and after-school programming throughout Frederick County. In 2024, we proudly partnered with 10 Frederick County elementary schools and served over 520 Pre-K students and their families. Generous thanks for the support of our local sponsors—including the Ausherman Family Foundation, Delaplaine Foundation Inc., The City of Frederick, Frederick County Government, and Second Street & Hope—we continue to grow our reach.
